CPNV and our partners Catholic Peace Fellowship and Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary celebrated our 8th annual recognition of St. Marcellus Day with a meaningful pilgrimage, reflective service, and inspiring speakers. We’re ever grateful for inspiring examples of the way of nonviolence demonstrated by Jesus, from St. Marcellus in Rome to Zoughbi Zoughbi in Bethlehem.
Lots of exciting events coming up quickly this fall, 2014!
Peter & Liz Anderson
International Day of Peace
First, we gather for our regular Second Saturdays event, on September 13 at Kern Road Mennonite Church, to hear from Peter & Liz Anderson! Find out more here.
Next, we gather for a community event recognizing the International Day of Peace on September 21. We’ve partnered with the United Religious Community to host a short afternoon presentation hearing about the peace traditions from our community’s religious leaders. More information will be forthcoming shortly.
And as fall begins to set in, all of us at CPNV look forward for the annual celebration day of St Marcellus on October 30. This year we’re looking forward to a meaningful service in the Basilica, followed by a Middle Eastern meal with Zoughbi Zoughbi sharing about peace in the Middle East. Find out more here and in future publicity coming soon.
Mark your calendars – and hope to see you out witnessing peace!
